The summer has been loaded with events and has just proved to us that climate change is there and that we still need to act to contain its effects. In this context, the practice of sailing and navigation must remain a lasting, solidarity and safe activity! Passe-Coque has been working in its own way since its creation by advocating there-employment, sharing, training and sobriety. The reflection has come its way in the nautical sector and many other initiatives appear.

The Grand Pavois de la Rochelle has been very "refit" oriented and KATE KATA, the Gin Fizz revitalized by Patrick and Fred, is proof by example that a new practice is possible.

So here's a small overview of our actions over the past few months. Actions that cannot succeed without your unwavering support, especially when damage succeeds, so please stay aboard or feel free to re-board with us. And above all share so that the community develops!

The October newsletter is available in PDF format on Passe-Coque. It's here:https://passe-hull.com/newsletters/NL-oct-2026.pdf

Hello and fraternity Passe-Coque

Kate Kata

The Grand Pavois in La Rochelle

Kate Kata

Summer was hot!!

But the Passe-Coque projects were not stopped by the heat wave and our action around sobriety and re-use takes its full meaning at the moment when the evidence (which might doubt it!) and the consequences appear.
Nomaddictchanged name to becomeKate Kata("thank you" in Yagan), he represented the Association at the Grand Pavois on board with Saudade, the super Arlequin managed by Voiles Mag. The Scout Troop who came to participate in the project alongside Patrick Fred and Colin was a formidable efficiency ... Because as the saying says. They were always ready to bite in it!

The project starts on Kate Kata after a week at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle with a team of 4 very enthusiastic young people. We were in front of the Pen Duicks, excuse me a little!

A great success at the salon and a beautiful navigation from Dunkirk to Hendaye this winter.

And other projects appear (we even heard about kite wing on Kate Kata!)

Pordin-Nancq

Beautiful regatta at the Tour du Finistère this summer before a small lift. Refuelling soon for winter training in Port Louis.

Jericho

The work has progressed well thanks to the trainees of ICAN. The boat is well protected under a shelter. It has a container and we now have access to the hull to arrange sandblasting and replacement of damaged plate.

We are looking for welders who volunteer or sponsor skills. Do you have any ideas.

The Dreamer

Slowly returns following the traces of Anita Conti, but life is not a long, quiet river and after more than 3300 NM an engine damage in Germany disturbs the end of the course. The crew was repatriated by assistance while waiting for a repair that could be lengthy.

Melkart

Melkart is now in the hands of the Solidary Sailing Association. He sails along the French coast for inclusion programs.

The South

The Mediterranean is not left behind with Shadock whose preparation is advanced, and Tanikel who sailed a lot this summer with the Jeannettes and the Mediterranean collective.

But Passe-Coque is also:

The Ruby Cup

It's a must-see and opportunity to bring our boats together. This year, 8 Passe Coque boats participated. A beautiful image of the dynamism of our collective!

Go see Voiles Mag of this month, you will find Guy in action at the godilla contest!

Mission

Our vision of a more sustainable and supportive pleasure has been recognized by the 1% label for the planet, which brings together many companies and associations that work together for a better protected ocean. And we defended our vision of the refit at a round table at the

Grand Pavois with several actors of this renewal.
A participatory project

In partnership with YPAM we rehabilitate an Umbrine Bénéteau and soon a Breton canoe. To combine reemployment and wealth.

La boutique des Vieux Guindeaux

We promised you, she's coming in November.

You will find, as usual, all this information on the sitewww.passe-hull.com
